2. Color Code Your Notebooks
Use a different color notebook and folder for each subject. Or decorate one differently. If you use one notebook for all your classes, color-code sections for each class.
Write the name and room number of each class on the cover or section. Add your name and your teacher's name, too!
Make sections for homework, notes, and handouts.
3. Keep your locker or desk and book bag neat.
This will help you find what you need quickly.
4. Get things ready the night before.
Have a place to put your book bag each night. Pack it for the next day so you don't forget anything. Getting your clothes ready the night before is a big time saver, too!
5. Learn How To Manage Your Time.
Write down when your classes are.

Use study hall and class time wisely. It's always a good idea to get started with you homework while still at school in case you have questions.
Review your planner so you know what materials to take home. You don't want to forget anything!
Keep homework time consistent at home. Try to do it at the same time each night.
6. Use an assignment notebook or planner.
Use date/subject blocks to write in:
Homework assignments
School events and vacations
Special happenings
Anything else you need to remember
Highlight date blocks with a special color when you've completed the assignments for that day.
