About Me...
I have been the School Counselor at Penn Cambria Middle School since 2004. I previously taught Health and Physical Education to our students in grades K - 5 in our Elementary Buildings. I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, with a minor in Dance Education. In 2000, I received my Masters of Education from IUP, along with my School Counseling Certification.
When not at school, I enjoy spending my time with my husband, Matthew, and two beautiful daughters, Marissa and Cassidy. I also enjoy reading, shopping, and teaching dance to children from pre-school through high school.
Mission Statement...
The counseling/guidance program will facilitate the mission of the Penn Cambria School District to prepare productive citizens in a safe and positive environment that promotes excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics.
Role of the School Counselor...

As a Collaborator - The counselor integrates resources from the school, community, and other resources to establish a complete network of services for personal/social, academic and career development. The counselor provides professional expertise and support (including materials) to faculty, staff, parents, and community.
As an Agent of Systemic Change - Using leadership and advocacy skills, the counselor will promote positive change to meet program goals for the students through professional development, collaboration, effective program management, and analyzing student achievement.
